New Cycling Ireland Initative

(31st Aug 2010) Cycling Ireland is about to launch a brand new youths cycling skills based programme called SUBWAY Sprocket Rocket. Cycling Ireland is hoping to deliver this programme in Clubs and Schools. This is great opportunity to encourage children to take up cycling in a non-competitive environment whilst developing fundamental skills to enable children to cycle safely and with confidence.

Sprocket Rocket is a foundation Cycling Skills Programme which focuses on delivery to youths aged 7 to 11 years old but can actually be delivered to anyone of any age. The SUBWAY Sprocket Rocket Programme focuses on 4 main skills; Cornering, Pedalling, Braking and Balance. Please see the About Sprocket Rocket file attached for further information.

In order to start the process of delivery and roll-out of the SUBWAY Sprocket Rocket programme I am looking for schools, clubs and coaches that would be interested in running the New SUBWAY Sprocket Rocket Programme. At this stage I am merely looking for expressions of interest from clubs, schools or coaches that might like to get involved in this exciting new initiative. Basketball Coaching Course – An Introduction
